Established in the summer 2020, UMF emerged out of our civic initiative launched two years earlier for the site of the former Jewish cemetery at Gwarna Street in Wrocław (former Claassenstrasse).
We are a new non-governmental organization in Wrocław, and we hope to contribute with our knowledge and passion to the public conversation and shaping of the urban landscape, education and care for the sites of our shared Polish, Jewish and German heritage and local history.
